It’s just going to get pooped on anyway

To recycle (or the newly thrown around term “upcycle”) is to take your crafting to a new level in my opinion.  It also causes you to see that not everything has to be tossed away as trash, but it can be transformed and reborn into something new, exciting and beautiful.  That description makes me think of a caterpillar’s transformation into a butterfly, now that is beautiful.

Many of my DIY projects go off the deep end and don’t always turn out the way I had hoped, but I love to recreate things.  When I crochet and don’t like what I’m making or get tired of a blanket around the house, I unravel it and reuse that yarn for another project.  I reuse the pulp from my juicing sessions to feed myself or my plants.  I even upcycle t-shirts.  The magnificent, simple t-shirt can be transformed into so many wonderful things such as: cloth menstrual pads, cloth diapers liners, washcloths, rags, scarves, pants, shorts, other shirts.  I recently got the hang of a technique to make nursing shirts out of oversized t-shirts.

This video is my version of a tutorial on how to make the nursing shirt.  Why pay so much for a nursing shirt when it’s just going to get ruined in a few months at best with breast milk, spit up and poop (of course).
